Las Vegas, Nevada - Travel with kids

Family friendly activities in Las Vegas for kids.

Vegas with Kids?

You might be wondering if Las Vegas is really kids friendly. In one word, yes!

Vegas is a great place to visit with kids. Vegas has lots of family-friendly activities and things to do for kids of all ages, so they'll have fun while you relax and enjoy the vacation too.

The first thing you need to know about visiting Las Vegas with children is that there are plenty of family friendly hotels with all sorts of amenities such as arcade rooms, pools, hot tubs, fitness centers and more. You should also be aware that many casinos offer free (or discounted) play at gaming tables if you're staying at their hotel or if you show them your room key card while playing slots or table games!

The Venetian - Grand Canal Shoppes and Gandola ride

No trip to Las Vegas would be complete without a Gandola ride. The gondola ride passes through an indoor network that supposedly resembles Venice. (There is a separate outdoor ride). Our ride was pleasant and it lasted approximately 10 minutes. The gondola driver entertained us with some songs. They were both in Italian and in English.

FAT TUESDAY

If you love Daiquiris, then you MUST visit this shop. There are a ton of Fat Tuesday's around, and nothing beats having a Fat Tuesday drink in one hand and strolling down the Strip.

DAY 1 Vlog

Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Chocolate shop - LinQ Promanade shops

Kevin and I went in to have an ice cream treat, however, the place was packed. No seating outside so instead we browsed around the store at all the chocolates. So much to choose from. Wish there was more seating so we could have indulged in an ice cream creation but the chocolates to buy individually or in gift packs are amazing. Can't go wrong with their chocolate!

You might be wondering where our kids are. Well, they are with their grandparents at the hotel. Both the kids go to sleep by around 9:30 pm. We asked Kevin's parents to take care of them and we snuck out like some college kids. heehee

Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay

This aquarium is so much fun for kids! There are sharks, dolphins, jellyfish and a few other sea creatures that will keep your little ones fascinated for hours. You can also see how coral reefs work in an amazing way to protect the animals living there from predators. It’s great learning about marine wildlife in such an interactive way!

Undersea Explorer

We got these tickets for FREE because we purchased the Shark reef aquarium tickets. Undersea Explorer is a submarine ride that is good for all ages, but especially fun for kids. The ride takes you through the waters of an undersea world and allows you to see schools of tropical fish and other marine life. It's a great way to see the water without getting wet!

BUT - it's not for kids 2 and under :(

Night Tour - Bus ride

The night tour is the most popular Vegas bus tour for kids. Kids will enjoy this ride. If you're bringing along children, make sure they sit near the front so that they can see all of the landmarks as they pass by them. You don't want to miss out on anything!

It's a great way to see "The Strip" from a different perspective, and it's also a fun way for kids (and parents) to see all of their favorite sites in one afternoon.

Fremont Street Experience

The Fremont Street Experience is a three-block long open-air pedestrian mall in downtown Las Vegas. It's basically an outdoor plaza that allows you to see all of the sights and sounds of Vegas (and not just the strip). If you're visiting Las Vegas with kids, this is a great place to start your trip.

The Fremont Street Experience offers plenty of activities for everyone! You can play some games, check out some cool street performers or bands, eat some delicious food and much more! There are even shops where you can buy souvenirs for yourself or loved ones back home.

Day 2 Vlog

Bellagio Casino and Fountain

There are many casinos in Las Vegas, but the Bellagio is one of the most famous ones. The Bellagio is known for its luxurious interior and also for its fountains. If you want to see these fountains in action, go there early in the morning or right after sunset when it's dark outside—this way, you'll get a better view!

According to Kevin, the Bellagio fountains were just meh! He commented that the Dubai fountain show was way better than the Bellagio fountain show.

These pictures were taken a few minutes before I lost my 2 weeks paycheck.

Hershey's Chocolate World

Stop by HERSHEY’S CHOCOLATE WORLD Las Vegas to see a famous American icon in chocolate. The store features a sculpture of the Statue of Liberty made out of almost 800 lbs. of HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate.
