Now that I have a Family, I decided to be more careful about my finances. The intellects always quote- " Never put all your eggs in one basket". So, I took all my savings from my bank account and started investing it in Dividend Stocks. Its a great way of making passive income.

What is a Dividend Stock?

Some companies give dividends quarterly in cash as an incentive to keep investing in their company. Let's take an example of AT&T (American Telephone and Telegraph)

Stock price as of 04/22/2020 (5:15pm CST): $ 29.50

Dividend/Yield: 6.71

If you buy 170 shares (approximately 5000$) from AT&T, you will get a dividend of 30$~ (free money) per month. This could easily pay off your Amazon Prime and Netflix account. Note that, this is in addition to the appreciation that can happen over the months.
