Hello Autumn!

I am so happy that you stopped by for a visit! Autumn is my favorite season without a doubt. There is something very special in the air at this time of the year. The falling leaves, cracking log fires, warm hot chocolate and the crispy autumn breeze inspire many people to celebrate this picturesque season.

Compared to my Christmas decorations in the house, my fall decorations are minimal. Most of my weekends are dedicated to roam through Hobby Lobby, Kirklands and Home Goods to find some interesting ideas. I find more joy in creating my own unique decor items rather than purchasing an expensive cookie-cut piece that would go out of style the next year.

Sometimes it is worth spending some dollars for classic fall items like a comfortable throw pillow, a cozy blanket and a scented candles. Who doesn't love the smell of those Spiced Pumpkin candles from Yankee Candle?

Let's take a quick peak inside my home.

Apple Frangipane Tart

Apple filling and almond cake topped with apples and roasted almost pieces in a shortcrust pastry.

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Bedroom Fall decor

I spray painted a glass bottle and made a "Hello Autumn" sign using some metallic pens. Those cinnamon scented pine cones add an extra fall touch to our bedroom

Mantle

I got some fall leaves garland from Hobby Lobby. Can't wait to watch Disney's Hocus Pocus.

Outdoor fall decor

Got some mums from Home Depot and made my own Fall sign using a wooden piece and some white paint. The calligraphy is not my favorite but somehow managed to paint it while holding my 11 month old on one hand.

Hallway decor

Hot chocolate with Marshmallows

It's been raining the past fews days and nothing beats the feeling of snuggling and having a hot chocolate on such days.

So here are my minimal fall decorations. I hope you’ve enjoyed taking a little look around my home. Be sure to check back for Christmas home decor :)
