AeroGarden Review

Watch your food grow in your kitchen counter!

It's been 5 months since we ordered AeroGarden Harvest and I am excited to show you the results. When you watch your plants grow in your kitchen counter, you know it is fresh and healthy. This setup is perfect for people living in cold climates. You will be able to grown your food without sunlight. Water, plant food (included in the pack) and electricity is enough. We wanted to find out for ourselves whether the AeroGarden lived up to the hype, so put to the test.

We purchased it for $99 (approximately 7,300 rupees). AeroGarden Harvest comes with 6 seed pods that you place into the water bath. They then sprout the herbs after an amount of time. We saw the a seed pod starting to sprout within a week. You can choose what kind of seeds you want. There are a variety of options like Mixed Romaine seed pod, Salad bar seed pods, lavender seed pods. This is a great addition to your kitchen if you live in an apartment and do a lot of cooking using herbs.

These are the seed pods that we received:

1) Genovese Basil

2) Thai Basil

3) Mint

4) Dil

5) Thyme

6) Curly Parsley

Watch this video to see the setup and our AeroGarden until week 8.

Things that you need to know

- The LED lights are automatically turned on for hours a day. It makes my kitchen look like a space station. Very bright light.

- Some seeds might not germinate. One of my seed pods did not and I reached out to the customer support. They were kind enough to ship a romaine lettuce seed pod for FREE.

- Maximum height of the equipment limits growth

- Space too tight for 6 herbs to grow

- Mold growth on the surface of seed pods

- Expensive

Pros:

- Fresh Herbs

- Easy, hassle-free indoor garden

- Reminders to add water and food plant

- Automatic LED lights

- Sized for countertops

- Good customer service

I was really happy to watch these seeds sprout :)

This is not the final image. Our AeroGarden is now filled with herbs and I love it. We just need to prune the branches every week.

My Verdict: It's an easy way to start your indoor gardening and is a great gift. Use fresh herbs while cooking your favorite meal to add the flavor. Even though it's a bit expensive, you might enjoy it. It's easy for anyone to use at any age.

So if you guys are planning to buy and try this, let me know what you think :)
